Sometime around 1996 we were on our way home from a festival in Yorkshire (Holmfirth?) and came across 'Timberlodge' at Ingleton. A large luxury pine cabin that would sleep around 50 people, Marie got it into her head that it would be a great place for a small music festival. The rest is history. We rented out the entire cabin for a weekend in March, and decided we would give it a try. The weekend was fully booked (with a waiting list!) from the first year onwards, and still is to this day.

We stepped down from running it in 2004, but are but are glad to say that it is still going strong, and long may it do so. We had many great weekends and made lifelong friends there.

Musically, it is quite diverse: some things that stay in our minds are:-

  • Alan Laing, playing his trombone in the music session (a first for us!!).
  • Our surprise at winning the songwriting competition in '03. We still have the cup with our names on to prove it, together with those of Brian Osborne, Malcolm Denny, Marie Little and John Prentice - illustrious company indeed!
  • The friendship, warmth and support of the Ingleton Family that we came to know.
Here are some pictures from the years gone by ............
